Hi, I'm Renee Felts, Certified Professional Photographer and the heart behind Joy Life Photos. I specialize in family photography, Lifestyle photography, event photography, and Fresh 48 sessions, capturing life’s most joyful and meaningful moments.
My love for photography began years ago as I documented special moments with family and friends. During the quiet reflection of the COVID era, that passion deepened, and I began to pursue photography professionally through education and hands-on training. I joined the Professional Photographers of North Carolina, the Virginia Professional Photographers Association, and the Professional Photographers of America—organizations that helped me sharpen my skills and eventually earn my Certified Professional Photographer (CPP) designation.
I am a wife, mother, and proud grandmother who finds joy in photographing real, heartfelt moments. I spend much of my time at Lake Gaston, where I love photographing vacationing families, lake reunions, and special lakefront events. Whether you're celebrating a birthday, gathering for a reunion, or welcoming a new baby with a Fresh 48 session, I’d be honored to help you preserve those memories.
Based in Littleton, North Carolina, I serve clients in Lake Gaston, Roanoke Rapids, NC, South Hill, VA, and surrounding areas. As I prepare for retirement, I’m excited to make photography a meaningful part of this next chapter of life.
Let’s create joyful memories together—one photo at a time.

Photography brings me immense joy, which is why I named my business JoyLife Photos. I’m drawn to the beauty of everyday moments—genuine laughter, tender hugs, milestones, and simple joys. These memories are priceless treasures, and I consider it a privilege to help families preserve them.
As time passes, I’ve come to deeply appreciate the importance of capturing life as it happens—so we can look back and relive the sweet times we’ve shared. My motto, “Making joyful memories one photo at a time,” is more than a tagline—it’s the heart of everything I do.
