BEHIND THE LENS
About Renee Felts
I currently serve as the Associate Vice President for Continuing Education at Old Dominion University. where I have dedicated my career to lifelong learning and personal growth. While continuing education is my professional passion, photography is my personal joy.
I have always loved photographing family and friends, but it wasn’t until the quiet reflection of the COVID era that I began to seriously pursue photography through education and training. I joined the Professional Photographers of North Carolina, the Virginia Professional Photographers Association, and the Professional Photographers of America. Through these communities, I deepened my knowledge, enrolled in courses, and proudly earned the designation of Certified Professional Photographer (CPP).
A LITTLE MORE ABOUT ME
- PASSIONATE
-
Photography brings me immense joy, which is why I named my business JoyLife Photos. I’m drawn to the beauty of everyday moments—genuine laughter, tender hugs, milestones, and simple joys. These memories are priceless treasures, and I consider it a privilege to help families preserve them.
- JOYFUL
-
As time passes, I’ve come to deeply appreciate the importance of capturing life as it happens—so we can look back and relive the sweet times we’ve shared. My motto, “Making joyful memories one photo at a time,” is more than a tagline—it’s the heart of everything I do.
